Scope of Collaboration
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Pomar Marketing and JB Energy will collaborate across multiple areas of communication and stakeholder engagement, including:
- Strategic communication planning
- Branding and visual identity
- Institutional and technical communication
- Digital communication and social media
- Website and digital platforms
- Press and media relations
- Written, graphic, audiovisual, and educational content
- Communication campaigns
- Institutional presentations
- Events and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Communication with government, industry, academia, investors, local communities, and the broader public
The partnership will also support communication and educational initiatives designed to translate the technical, environmental, industrial, and scientific knowledge generated by Aura Sul Wind into accessible content for different audiences. These initiatives may include educational materials, audiovisual content, technical and institutional publications, digital campaigns, events, workshops, and other knowledge-dissemination activities.
From Engineering Knowledge to Public Understanding
Aura Sul Wind brings together engineering companies, technology providers, universities, research institutions, government organizations, environmental specialists, and industrial partners to develop Brazil’s first floating offshore wind demonstration project.
This multidisciplinary structure creates an equally important challenge: ensuring the project’s knowledge can be understood and shared beyond the technical teams directly involved in its development.
The collaboration between JB Energy and Pomar therefore goes beyond conventional project marketing. It will establish a consistent, transparent, and recognizable communication platform that supports Aura Sul Wind throughout its development and connects technical progress with institutional engagement, education, public awareness, and knowledge dissemination. This reflects the MOU’s recognition of Aura Sul Wind not only as a demonstration project, but also as a platform for knowledge, industrial capabilities, research cooperation, environmental understanding, workforce development, and public awareness.
The partnership will also enable coordinated communication involving project partners, universities, government entities, industry associations, media organizations, and other stakeholders, helping create a broader understanding of floating offshore wind and its potential role in Brazil’s future energy and industrial landscape.
Building the Identity of a Long-Term Project
One of the first major outcomes of the collaboration is developing the new visual identity and strategic positioning of the Aura Sul Wind Project, designed to support its evolution from a pioneering demonstration initiative into a long-term platform for technology, research, industry, environmental knowledge, and international cooperation.
The new identity will be officially presented at Brazil Windpower 2026, marking a new phase in the project’s communication and public engagement.
Beyond visual identity, the collaboration aims to establish a communication framework that can evolve alongside Aura Sul Wind over the coming years—maintaining consistency while communicating new technologies, research results, environmental studies, partnerships, milestones, and knowledge generated by the project.
“Engineering a pioneering project is only part of the challenge. We also need to make the knowledge generated by the project understandable and accessible to society. Aura Sul Wind brings together industry, academia, government, environmental research, and local communities, and communication is what connects all these dimensions. Together with Pomar, we want to build a long-term identity and communication platform capable of growing with the project and sharing what we learn along the way.”

“A communications strategy for the Aura Sul Wind project demands a level of communication that matches its potential. Our role is to translate the complexity of this initiative into a clear, consistent narrative, building a brand that conveys what it represents for Brazil: a new, cutting-edge industry for generating clean energy for the nation. We aim to bring people and institutions closer together, build trust, and help the public understand the emerging opportunities being created. This is the long-term vision guiding the partnership between Pomar Marketing and JB Energy.”

About the Aura Sul Wind Project
The Aura Sul Wind Project is Brazil’s first floating offshore wind demonstration project and one of the most advanced floating offshore wind initiatives under development in Latin America.
At the heart of the project is the Raijin Float®, an innovative concrete semi-submersible floating foundation developed by JB Energy and specifically engineered to support the MySE 18.5 MW offshore wind turbine by Ming Yang Smart Energy in Brazilian waters.
As the project evolves, Aura Sul Wind continues to integrate globally recognized technologies and specialized expertise across multiple disciplines, including strategic communication, branding and stakeholder engagement with Pomar Marketing, project certification and risk analysis by Bureau Veritas, port decarbonization and decommissioning studies with ABS, environmental and social studies by ARVUT, Geo-data and site characterization by Fugro, offshore power substation technology by Hitachi Energy, and offshore power cable systems by Prysmian.
Together, these strategic partnerships are creating a multidisciplinary ecosystem for developing and future commercializing floating offshore wind in Brazil.
The project has already reached a major regulatory milestone with IBAMA’s issuance of the Terms of Reference (TR), allowing environmental studies and detailed engineering to advance toward Brazil’s environmental licensing process.
Rather than developing a single demonstration project, Aura Sul Wind is building the technological, industrial, environmental, regulatory, and knowledge foundations for the future of floating offshore wind in Brazil.
About JB Energy
JB Energy is a Japanese engineering and technology company dedicated to advancing floating offshore wind by developing proprietary technologies and integrated engineering solutions.
The company created the Raijin Float®, an innovative concrete semi-submersible floating foundation designed for next-generation offshore wind turbines, and is the developer and technical leader of the Aura Sul Wind Project, coordinating an international ecosystem of industrial partners, research institutions, and government organizations.
Rather than developing a single offshore wind project, JB Energy is building an open innovation platform that integrates proprietary floating technologies, industrial partnerships, academic research, environmental innovation, and regulatory development to accelerate floating offshore wind commercialization.
By combining technological innovation with long-term international collaboration, JB Energy is helping establish the technical foundations for the next generation of floating offshore wind projects across Japan and Brazil, while contributing to the global advancement of floating offshore wind technologies.
